Research activities

My current research focuses on interface/interphase problems, nonlinear behavior of materials and contact mechanics. The methods developed are based on an analytical and numerical modeling strategy in the framework of continuum mechanics. Here are some key words :


  • Solid mechanics: analytical and numerical modeling of linear and non-linear imperfect interfaces, micromechanical homogenization of micro-cracked media, damage mechanics, contact mechanics.
  • Structural mechanics: multi-scale modeling and simulation.
  • Numerical methods: finite element method, asymptotic developments.
  • Applications: Composite materials, bonding, biological interfaces.
