Summary : Laser Wire Additive Manufacturing (LWAM) represents the cutting edge in the production of complex metal parts. However, behind its advantages lies a daunting scientific problem : how can laser trajectories be precisely controlled in the face of convoluted geometries ? This thesis aims to address this challenge by combining artificial intelligence (AI) with multiphysics simulation. The aim is to make a dual contribution : on the one hand, sophisticated AI algorithms for unprecedented trajectory optimisation and, on the other, simulations that take account of thermal, mechanical and metallurgical phenomena to ensure the impeccable quality of the parts produced. The real challenge lies in creating a synergy between these disciplines, in the hope of revolutionising LWAM for more agile, efficient and reliable production.
