Résumé  :  

For the vibration analysis of civil and large-scale mechanical structures, video-based displacement measurement has been emerging as an alternative tool to conventional contact-based sensors thanks to its advantages such as full-field measurement, low interference to the structure, and non-contact. This thesis focuses on the development of a computer vision (CV)-based measurement protocol to measure the vibrations of timber buildings and large structures in general. As the first step of this thesis, a video-based displacement measurement using a camera network was conducted on a tower crane. For CV-based 3D displacement calculation, a procedure is applied that consists of (1) Data Acquisition with a camera network (2) Camera Synchronization using a coded light signal (3) Camera Calibration as a two-step calibration (4) Motion tracking based on Digital Image Correlation (DIC) and (5) Structural 3D displacement calculation with non-linear triangulation. As a result, full-field 3D displacement measurement was conducted based on CV. Furthermore, the 3D displacement result extracted from videos is well correlated with data acquired contact-based accelerometer.
